WVU - Arguably Best offensive game under Detmer. Against a decent team and played fairly well.

Toledo - Not a good defensive team. Back and forth. Put up 55, a lot of it had to do with JW being amazing. 

MSU - Scored 31 points against a bad Michigan State team. Taysom throws for just 138 yards on 27 attemps. JW gets 30 carries for 163. That game the offensive line played well. All Detmer had to do was give the ball to JW and the other backs. 

Now it gets fun

Mississippi St - BYU scores 14 points in regulation and gains 260 yards in regulation. 

Boise St - BYU scores not one, but TWO pick 6s. The BYU offense scores 13 points in a loss. A game in which BYU has two interceptions returned for TDs, BYU loses. BOISE HAD 5 TURNOVERS! 5! and BYU scored 13 points on offense. 

Cincinnati - Score: 20-3. BYU has a whopping 130 yards passing and lights up the scoreboard to the tune of 20 points vs a subpar Cincinnati team. 

SUU - Who cares. 37-7. Game means nothing.

UMass - Score: 51-9. Wow. We crush a team that finished the year 2-10 with wins over FIU and Wagner. Wow really shows what the offense can do against a very bad team. If only BYU could schedule the worst teams in the country every week, that way Detmer could be the best OC ever. 

Utah State - Score: 28-10. Score looks about mediocre, right? Then you look a little closer and find out that the defense had a fumble return for a touchdown. So the offense scores 21 points vs a 3-9 Utah State team. Wait! You look even closer and see that the Defense gave the offense a short field returning an interception to the USU 38. Then you look even closer and see that Hill was 10/21 for 101 yards, 1 TD and 2 Int against a 3-9 USU team. Pretty Stellar if you ask me. 

Wyoming - Score: 24-21. Would have lost if we didnt have arguably the best RB in BYU history. Mangum throws for 96 yards. Defense also recovers a fumble on the Wyoming 3 yard line leading to a BYU TD. An interception giving the offense a short field also leads to another BYU TD. 

So yeah....Maybe you should do your research before you post. Also maybe think about what average points per game actually means. 

Detmer has had 2, maybe 3 good games as O coordinator and the others havent just been mediocre, they have been a disaster.
