Not only is it extremely convenient, but we found ourselves going to see things we otherwise wouldn’t have because they have a guidebook and map that they give you (tourist attraction locations overlaid on a map of the tube- extremely helpful).

In all we saw so many things that we got two or three times our money’s worth out of the pass, and we left thinking there was a bunch more we would have liked to see.

Regarding day tours if she doesn’t want to do Bath (which is awesome) then Dover is a good choice. I love South Wales, too, but that’s more than a day trip.

Good Indian food is everywhere. You can’t swing a dead cat without hitting a curry takeout joint and there are a lot of good sit down options, too. I’ve not been to the specific one you’re referencing but I know you won’t have a hard time finding somewhere good.
