Avebury is pretty cool and you can sit on the rocks.
It's about 45 minutes north of Stonehenge near the edge of the Cotswolds on a meandering way to Bath. If you do head that way, I would at least pass by Stonehenge. Viewing Stonehenge from the road is better than not seeing it, especially if you're relatively close by.
