If it's effort and execution, as many have put forth, who does that fall on? IMO, least of those would be Detmer. To me it's head coach first, then position coaches second. The Coordinators are in charge of designing and implementing the system. It's too much to handle if they also have to babysit each position and make sure they're putting in max effort.

Maybe it's the system, and Detmer is to blame, but it's not so cut and dry.
