The sanitation cycles are mostly marketing ploys. Most DW reach 160deg which kills 99% bacteria/microbials.

Miele is not worth it at all. I would look at a KitchenAid. Quiet and good performing. Built in USA too. 🇺🇸

Very unusual. SS tub should have a five year warranty though so if they contact KA they should do something about it.

Go w/ a high end Maytag or Whirlpool. They are great machines and are pretty quiet.
