bcriddle Walk On of The Year 2006
Listen to these interviews with two former AD's and the former Director of Compliance that just left BYU
and then give me your opinion...

Val Hale

Rondo Fehlberg

Nate Burk

Kalani isn't perfect, nor is the current culture. More accountability is needed. That being said, If Ty was an average OC this season,
we aren't discussing a 4-9 season, we aren't discussing only scoring 20 points vs. the worst team in the FCS (Portland State), we aren't discussing not crossing the 50 yd line vs. LSU, we aren't discussing a loss vs. the worst defense in college football and only putting up 17 points vs. that defense, we aren't discussing how BYU only scored 10 points vs. UMASS when UMASS gave up 38 to Hawaii 31 to Maine and 63 to FIU. If he's an average OC we are going bowling and he still has his job.

Answer these questions:

1. Do you think that a successful college football coach of 15 years would take the risk of hiring an individual that has never been in college football before as a coach?... let alone an unproven OC?
2. Do you believe that if an AD lacks autonomy at BYU that a head coach would have that autonomy?
