my son's C team has way too many kids who love to dribble & can't shoot outside
but they don't hesitate to let it fly or put their heads down and start dribbling into trouble. The last few comp teams he's been on have all been the same. Kids shoot in the 20% range from 3 but don't hesitate, they all want to be Steph Curry and nobody knows to feed the post (either high post or low) or even see when bigs get open in the key.

His last club team had a bunch of turnover machines in the backcourt who couldn't shoot. He led the team in scoring because he averaged double digit rebounds, mostly on the offensive end rebounding all their misses and putting them back in. Very few of his points were assisted on.

This shift in the game is causing him to lose interest in basketball. He's been trying to get a club volleyball program for boys going in his high school and would love to shift his focus to volleyball.
