I don't know how else you express this with talking about the change in the program that catered to a wider Polynesian group of players, staff, and volunteers and their extended families and friends. The Poly culture referred to isn't lazy, or bad, it's friendly and all inclusive, that doesn't mix with running a discipline football program.
