When you say change the tank, what do you mean exactly? You shouldn't be

changing all of the water ever. The tank needs certain bacteria that grow in the water, gravel, etc. If you get rid of too much of that, the tank will keep going through the nitrogen cycle each time you change it over. You probably just need to let it cycle.
