capturing the rebound does not
equal starting the break.

Watch some film of last year. Mika may have been a ball hog, but was also fantastic at starting the fast break off a rebound. He was very good at getting the rebound, keeping the ball above his head and hitting a guard with the outlet pass quickly. A lot of times he did it in one motion in a fraction of a second.

The way this team rebounds effectively is by sending all 5 to the glass. That makes fast breaking off a rebound difficult. Even if Worthington could rebound and outlet in one motion, there is no outlet man to pass to.

This team also gambles less on defense. That means better defensive efficiency but fewer fast break points.
