Your're treating this like a divorce from a loving spouse,
which it clearly is not. You have 15, 16, and 17 year old kids "committing" to attend BYU at a point in time. They are too young to enter into contracts of any kind. The commitments are necessarily non-binding.

We've had returned missionaries like Max Hall change their minds and you're trying to hold 15-17 years to their commitments? If I were a parent and the team my son had committed was just off a 4-9 season and an overhaul of the coaching staff, then I would probably prompt him to open things up as well.

When BYU gets back on track with a national ranking and the coaches begin sending more and more players into the NFL, then things will certainly change for the better.

In the interim, our recruiting classes are not much different from Central Florida's and we saw what they did past season.
