We've had returned missionaries like Max Hall change their minds and you're trying to hold 15-17 years to their commitments? If I were a parent and the team my son had committed was just off a 4-9 season and an overhaul of the coaching staff, then I would probably prompt him to open things up as well.

When BYU gets back on track with a national ranking and the coaches begin sending more and more players into the NFL, then things will certainly change for the better.
