Trending up or trending down? The obvious answer is down.

We used to be consistently above average, win a lot of games, never (not even once) win the conference tournament, and then lose in the first round of the NCAA’s.

Then Jimmer came and we win a lot of games, never (not even once) win the conference tournament, and but finally win some tourny games.

Jimmer leaves and we go back to not advancing in the tourney.

But the silver lining was we were recruiting better we had ever done before.

Fast forward a few years and we have problems with players transferring, or just choosing not to stick. We don’t beat good teams and we lose to a few terrible teams every year now.

I’m not even sure we are above average anymore, above average teams make a 68 team tournament.

We still win a lot of games but that’s boost d by us being in a terrible conference.

Rose helped BYU basketball to be respectable, but we are heading the wrong way (and it’s not a quick trigger, this is 3 years in a row now).

I’m grateful to Rose and defended us needing to give him more time till recently. But I’m ready to see if we can find somebody to right the ship. I’m done with inflated 20+ win seasons but we don’t beat anybody and we aren’t even playing in March when college basketball matters.
