The difference between the Basketball Hall of Fame and MLB/NFL, is that the Basketball considers collegiate and ABA accomplishments as well. Hence, that is part of the reason Zelmo is in. He won an ABA title, and ABA Playoffs MVP, was a 3 time ABA All-Star, 2 Time ABA Second Team, ABA All Time Team, NBA Rookie Team and 2 Time NBA All Star. In addition, he brought is largely responsible for Utah's only major professional basketball title. How dare you speak ill of the Big Z!
Jo Jo White was a 2 time NBA Champion, Finals MVP, 7 time All-Star, All NBA, etc. He was also a two time All-American. Please find a differnt comp. He is clearly Hall of Fame.
Same with McGrady. Take a look at his statistics. His downfall is he didn't have a lot around him. Did you know Robert Horry is a 7 time NBA Champion. Do you think he is better than McGrady? Horry will never sniff the Hall of Fame.
Lastly, I agree with you on Murph, who is my favorite athlete of all time. That man should be in the Hall. I remember the end of his career when he declined precipitously and being worried that he may not get into the Hall. There is still hope. I think he will evenutally get there.
