Basketball is a relatively new sport, and a lot of players have been inducted posthumously or long after their careers
ended simply for their contributions to the game. Mutombo absolutely deserves to be in. He was an 8x all-star and a 4x DPOY, plus the second all-time leader in blocks. McGrady deserves to be in likewise. For a 7-8 year stretch, he was one of the most dynamic and explosive scorers the league had ever seen.
I think Dale Murphy deserves to be in the hall of fame, but the case against him is equally strong. He was a career .265 hitter with <400 HRs.
