Yeah, when a person has gone most of their lives with
20/20+ vision, it can be hard to go from, "I have perfect vision, I don't wear glasses" to facing the reality of, "yes, I need glasses."

It can really be hard to change from the self image of looking in the mirror and seeing this dude that you've seen all of your life — wearing glasses . . . . "yeah! but I'm not a glasses person! I don't need glasses!"

But, if a person really does see better with their glasses on . . . . . then what should they do?

For some people it's a tough transition to make. Our Stk. Pres. who used to be our Bishop — I teased him about taking reading glasses off and on all day long.

When a person is in front of people a lot — I'll be honest — it looks goofy standing as a presenter in front of a large group of people, to keep putting glasses on and taking them off. Put them on and leave them on! So recently the SP finally got some glasses that he wears all of the time. He looks good with them on. He still doesn't think of himself as a glasses person, but he sees the common sense and practicality of wearing them full-time.

Farsighted people often experience what you describe. Eventually, the solution is to wear the glasses all of the time.

None of the above is to be considered medical advice. See your eye doctor . . . . blah, blah.
