Is there a reason why BYU doesn't take the weighted GPAs? Do other schools not

take them or is BYU alone in this?

To me it makes sense that a kid in AP classes whould be able to apply with a 4.2 if he/she has it. Why penalize kids for pushing themselves into tougher classes? The result will be smart kids taking easy classes so they make sure their GPA stays high.
