that it borders on absurd. It does have some value in deconstructing the hopless romantic and how destructive that thinking is. Particularly with how trying to bringing back the glory years is just silly.
Its funny that Hollywood keeps trying to make a good version of that film. I think it is impossible. The Robert Redfrod one is ok, but not great. The Baz Lurhman with Leo is pretty awful, as was the one on TNT that was done several years ago. It just does not translate into a good movie.
