I loved it despite the fact that I really do loath the main character Victor. I also am not a big fan of Romanticism as a philosophy. But some of the themse I love.
I love the questioning the morality of science and discovery. Professor Malcolm in Jurassic Park (one of the many many books and moves that Frankenstein has influenced) puts it best, "Yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could that they didn't stop to think if they should." The book examines these ideas extensively. This, which ties into man's hubris, is something I find fascinating, and has real world applications and examples.
