I flew to DC last month via SW and when we landed, the flight attendant told everyone to remain seated and we couldn’t exit the airplane until the bags had been removed from the plane. She said if we all got off the front of the plane, the plane would be so off balance, the front would lift up because all the bags would still be on the back. So we waited.
I do think it is funny that when a plane stops, everyone tries to stand up immediately to get their stuff. Especially the people in the back of the plane. You are on row 50, you aren’t getting out until rows 1-49 exit and it will probably be 10 minutes but by all means, stand up and look impatient.
