Lose your job. Test scores always get a bad rep but they are an effective measuring stick for teachers within a school. If a teacher is truly a great teacher then their students are going to do well on testing, regardless of the focus of their class. I have never once seen a great teacher have overall poor scores on testing. I’ve also never seen a poor teacher have great scores.
It would need to be more inclusive than just tests but there are a lot of ways to measure teacher effectiveness that could be used to justify a higher pay grade for the good ones.
