we understand that. Now imagine this scenario:
You post a picture of yourself on social media playing poker in a casino. I don't know you, but I take a screenshot of your post and share it on a message board saying: "Looks like Stev won't be working at BYU soon." Because, you know, Stev likes to gamble and gambling is against the honor code.
The point is, I don't know you and it's not my place to judge your worthiness or unworthiness or willingness/unwillingness to follow rules. Maybe you openly acknowledge your gambling habit and feel offended by some stranger commenting on it.
