Firmly believe it, down to watch my grandson in a baseball tournament
in St. George. He challenged me to a putting contest on the putting green in the back yard. I told him if he beat me (which I thought was impossible) I would give him $10. At the end of the nine we were tied. I told him good job and I would give him $5 for the tie. He wanted a playoff to decide the winner. I told him he should take the $5 because he was lucky to tie me. He wanted to go on. I won and he got nothiing.

I had to expalin the concept to my daughter more than to him.

First time my kids beat me in anything, they really beat my best effort. They learned the lesson well as they won't let me beat them in anything now.
