It is much better for all teams, and their traveling fanbases, to play there games in a given geographic region, rather than forcing them to fly all over the place and subject them to jet lag. If the US is smart, we'll schedule things to keep the US team in the same time zone the whole time, or maybe straddle two time zones at most. If we start flying them from California or Seattle to New York or Miami in the group stage, then we're doomed.
