and hit lows in 2011-12. The current values are at all-time highs, which should make any investor nervous. The Trump tax breaks are going to hit the Bay Area hard. The limits on SALT, property tax, and mortgage interest will have a negative impact on real estate in the Bay Area. I also see an economic downturn in the next 5 years. I'm happy for the people who got in, but there are reasons to be bearish about buying now.
