QBs are bailing all over the country. There's nothing you can do to stop it. But you don't risk your season by playing someone based on some idea that "ranks" will stay if you keep some sort of order. College coaches, especially ones potentially on the hot seat or with a warm seat, don't have time to be playing silly games like that. You have to win now and play whoever it takes to get it done.
The whole thing is a silly idea because not only does it potentially hurt your current season, you might lose those guys anyway because who wouldn't be pissed that their coach started someone everyone knew was NOT the best? Entire teams would start getting upset if things went purely based on seniority. It would be tough to pull recruits in from there on out. No top recruit wants to go into a program knowing the coach has some stupid idea about seniority.
