Then yes, interest is waning. Fans may still check scores or watch the games but I don't think as many fans are spending their hard earned money for an average to below average schedule with a lot of 8 pm start times and a team just hoping to make a bowl game.
And it doesn't help that Utah will be playing USC, Oregon, Washington, and Arizona at home and likely fighting for a Rose Bowl bid into late November.

Actually, thanks to health problems from where they went, they're coming back early. They are back on September 1st.
