BAD seasons. Syracuse had a good history, but hasn't consitently been to bowl games. Does anyone expect the Golden Gophers do do anything, ever? Iowa does have solid teams occasionally. I tossed Baylor in the mix because they have struggled for many years, had a couple excellent seasons, and then dropped below BYU for the last couple seasons. Yes, Briles is a good coach, but he's not there. Should their fans abandon the team now? Wait until they win again — if that even happens....? BYU has generally been good, sometimes very good. And last year, they were bad--really bad. The question was: are you a fan of the school or of the results from one 4-9 season (because apparently an average of 8-9 wins in indepenece isn't good enough for him)?
Personally, I think BYU will make some strides this year.
