Going into the 2014-15 season the Warriors were 8th in odds to win the championship at 20-1, with Curry having made his first All-Star team the year before. Meanwhile the Cavs had just formed a team with 3 All-Star starters from the previous season and were the betting favorites at 7-2 (funny how everyone forgets that when they say LeBron didn't have help in Cleveland).
The truth is that if Klay hadn't made a splash by going for 37 in a quarter, it was doubtful he would've even been an All-Star in 2015. As for Draymond, it was still being debated if he should've been starting over David Lee when the season started. And he didn't become an All-Star until the following season when they had the best record in the NBA.
So while many conceded that the Warriors had several good pieces that fit well together, nobody was calling the Warriors a superteam until Durant signed.
