First time I ever saw people exchange locks of hair as mementos. Strange crowd, good music.

I think they hit a wall though. Hatful of Hollow was awesome, and I enjoyed Meat is Murder, but couldn't get the later stuff. Girlfriend in a Coma? come on; now you're just trying to find depressing stuff.

Didn't really dive into Joy Division but enjoyed New Order and found their sound more inventive. The Smiths were more original but all songs ended up sounding very similar to me. All in all the Smiths had more impact on me, but I think New Order had better musicians.
