Let it go into default with the bank and take a hit on my credit? I own the home. It's in a great renter's market, but nobody wants to buy. Its 1700 miles away from me. The home is in good shape so the bank couldn't be too mad.
The way I see it is I am one renter away from ruin by trashing the house. Can't be much worse to just walk away. Am I talking crazy?
