The team was horrible last year. The offense was historically bad. Really, really bad. Kalani said so after every game. That was the only thing he could say.
Part of the offenses problem could be that Tanner didn't have to compete for the position. That's an explanation for why they are doing things differently this year.
Why don't you give Kalani some respect and support? He is our coach. If he gets fired, bag on him then. But this is the same coach that had 9 wins his first year.
