I don't feel it's in the team's best interest to wonder when the HC is going to broadcast by name specific shortcomings. Sure, be realistic saying what needs work but naming names seems counterproductive when so public & undermines your role as HC. Besides, many said it wasn't true.
If Tanner wins start role, that's on him. Throwing individual players under the bus is Kalanis decision and will have consequences (good or bad). I wouldn't do it as a coach but that's me.
