This was a group of rough neck guys I grew up with. All but one of the 8 had a cigar and plenty alchohol to go around. They’ll be playing and drinking till 2 or 3am.

They gave me grief for wearing a byu hat, I was then forced to defend my decision to wear the hat and reminded them how many of them were once byu fans too before it became hip to be a Ute fan. I reminded them that some of us are principled and loyal while most others get tossed to and fro regarding who/what they support or believe in.

Why am I posting this you ask? Because I get the feeling I not only have to defend being a byu fan among Utes but I have to defend myself among those who believe Independence is not killing the program.

For some of you, you just can’t accept the idea that some people can be real fans and not care for independence.

Now I’m just rambling cause I’ve been in the hot sun all day and I’m tired...
