The only real hope is the expansion of the P5 conferences
And that they remain at five. There are some real additional revenue opportunities if there were 16 teams per conference. The ACC is the closest. They would have to petition the NCAA to hold a CCSemi final game, but right now I don’t think anybody would vote against it. There is the weekend of the Army/Navy game with few other on that could bring some more $$$
Other than that scenario I’m not sure where BYU fits into sports. If FBS slits I don’t see BYU accepting a spot in a lower division. I think they would walk away first
