This week, I was scrolling through my Instagram feed, and came across a page by BYU that I follow had posted a series on underrated BYU athletes throughout the years. Ross Apo was featured, and I went down to comment how amazing he was, hoping to see a fan base that was applauding and loving the choice.
What I found was quite the opposite. For the most part, I saw “fans” criticizing how terrible he was, how useless he was for BYU. My message here is that, with the season kicking off in less than 50 days, be the fans that are loyal to every player that is on the field and who has been on the field in previous years. If we cheered them on a year, two years, or twenty years ago, why not now? Be the realest of the real fans in all of College Football.
