You go to college and often marry someone from a different state than where you

grew up. This inevitably leads to one of the people living away from their hometown, or even both in a lot of cases. The vast vast majority of people from my high school went to college in-state, married someone from in-state and reside now in-state. All of the Mormons I grew up with are long gone.
