The tweet essentially says that Tanner has never beaten a P5 team in a game he started. OU was simply pointing out that while that tweet is true - Tanner probably deserves some credit for beating Nebraska at the end.

Speaking of rushing in to defend - it's a good thing that you jumped in quick to defend the tweet by reminding us all that Tanner didn't start that game! Most of us probably had forgotten that our potential heisman candidate QB had a season ending injury and was out for the 4th quarter.

Which resulted in Tanner coming in with the team down and leading the offense to 9 unanswered points and the win. At the end. Hmmm. Maybe he should get some credit for that. Guess I better start another thread - because you've made it clear that this thread is ONLY about games he won as a starter. No deviating from the original thread starter!!!
