a coordinator without Whit. He he did not have the experience nor the ability to shore up any of the weaknesses his buddies had. He did not know how to be an administrator and maintain discipline or accountability.

He came in with a philosophy to be Lavell and to be the anti-Bronco. He thought he could bring in a lot of good recruits by being the "cool" coach.

He was not engaged in game planning. At least that's that's what is sounded like on the post game shows as he tried to distance himself by throwing others under the bus. This could not have endeared him to his coaches or players. You could see the tension between him and Ty.

With that said, I think Grimes will come in and teach KS a lot over the next couple of years. Grimes will probably save KS's job.
