I hated it. The explanation of wanting to rest the D makes sense.
But wasn't something we would have thought about probably while watching the game.
I still think it shows they didn't really believe the offense would be able to move the ball well enough if they had to try and put a quick drive together.
If the kicker had made it and we eventually lost the game people would definitely be criticizing the decision to use two timeouts there. I'm glad it worked out.
