Crowton and the tail end of Bronco both made a similar mistake in
attempting to recruit toward a great idea, but not something BYU is likely to succeed at long term.

Crowton wanted to create individual mismatches which work great if you have guys like Luke Staley and Austin Collie on the same team. But BYU doesn’t get those guys all the time.

BYU will succeed best with Bronco level discipline and offenses that require the sum of the whole being greater than the sum of the parts.
