Will any of this alter how the Playoff committee treats the Group of 5?
Probably not.
No G5 team will make the Playoff unless it goes unbeaten with a resume against Power 5 teams that significantly exceeds what unbeaten UCF did last year (a blowout win at 4-8 Maryland).
Boise State going against the Week 3 grain and getting crushed at Oklahoma State precludes any real chance of that.
Solution: Schedule P5 teams, forget G5 schedule. So glad BYU isn't in the MWC.
