I would not be better off this season as a BYU fan, because I have one less game

to watch BYU. BYU would not make it into your second tier NIT under your hypothetical system.

Even if the CFP eventually expands, I doubt that whatever the NIT-steup is that it would be a tournament.

Football is too violent for these amateurs to take in 4 extra games on the schedule after a 12 or 13 game regular season.
