Many of the posters over at USUFans are connected enough with the program that they could get the ear of a coach. The problem right now is that there isn't a coaching staff in place. I would still recommend posting over there if he is really interested in playing D1. The resume definitely looks good enough as Alabama football (10th on the blue-chip ranking) with accolades is not chump change.
