Without the lower tier P5 members, the blu bloods
would be able to generate, on their own, the kind of revenue they now receive.
The LHN will pay TX an average of $15M a year over the 20 years of the contract; currently, they receive about $13.75M/yr. TX would not be able to generate the additional $35M/yr it receives from the Big 12.
All blue bloods, are making a great deal more than a decade ago and that’s because they are part of a conference.
