BYU failed to see that most fans would rather see BYU win the MWC every year then play bigger named teams, be competitive but lose. BYU gave up their big fish in a little pond out of envy for Utah’s good fortune. Most fans would probably be happy to go back to the MWC in the long run. Sure they would complain on CB about it, but secretly would rather see BYU have winning seasons even if we have to play Wyoming.
