going to be a lifer at BYU. He knew he was lucky to get the job at all. I believe he was the right guy for the job at the time. But the reason he left was because he had done all he could do in the position he was in. Some of the fans attitudes, etc, helped him make up his mind, but it was always "when should I go?" not "if I should go."
