They are doing 2 different things with these DNA tests. Part of what they are
doing is connecting folks with their relatives based on their DNA. Think paternity tests. That
genealogical aspect is much more clear cut. The ethnicity aspect is what is in question here and ethnicity has nothing to do with genealogy. Genealogy is just the study of ancestral lineage. Who descended from whom. It isn't about where you come from. If you map your genealogy, it is most likely going to look much different than of you map your ethnicity.
