and could possibly fail miserably. Everyone calling for the end of Dave Rose is making the huge assumption that the worst-case scenario is that BYU continues winning at its current pace. Nobody seems willing to acknowledge the reality that things could get much worse.

BYU is averaging 24 wins per season under Rose since joining the WCC, and has 3 wins against Gonzaga at The Kennel. Not spectacular, but that's pretty darn good. There is no guarantee that a new guy would do better than that. And certainly could do much, much worse.
