time. You’re talking about a band like Bach, Elvis, and the Beatles. You don’t have to like them, but That is the elite company they are in. They absolutely turned music upside down.

What is ironic is that you appear to like Imagine Dragons, but fail to recognize that without Nirvana, there is no Imagine Dragons. Period. End of story. The sound IG uses comes DIRECTLY from Nirvana. While simple progressions and music, what nirvana was able to do was incredible. The simplicity of the sound is what made them great.

This is the question, however...25 years from now, will you care about IG? The answer is likely no. But you’ll know Nirvana. Your kids will know Nirvana. Kurt Cobain has been dead for about that same time, but you still know him. Think about that for a second. How many people could you walk up to today and they’d know who anyone in IG is? Then do the same with Kurt Cobain. I guarantee you that more know who Cobain is.

Last, rock is essentially dead. That should tell you how crappy bands like IG are if they can’t take the mantle from the Nirvanas, Pearl Jam’s, and GnRs. Yet those bands still sell records that are 30-40 years old.

By the way...GnR plays much bigger shows than IG could ever imagine playing.
