I never said it was linear. Some things are linear to be sure, while some are
not. If you can’t hear the tempos or sounds taken from others, I don’t know what to tell you.
There is in complexity, but there is genius in simplicity. There is also a lot of things to take from, but just because you don’t like something, don’t deny it’s greatness. I don’t personally like the Beatles, I’m a Stones man, but I recognize their greatness.
Maybe you’d enjoy more things if you took that approach.
